The “Tiger Car is a 1925 Rolls-Royce Phantom I with an elephant rifle and hand-cranked machine gun in tow. It is based on a 1925 Rolls-Royce Torpedo Sports Tourer and was commissioned by India’s Umed Singh II. Singh, the maharaja of Kotah from 1889 to 1940 and an avid game hunter, needed a new vehicle, he ordered his Rolls with taller tires, searchlights front and rear, and gun racks. Spotted this in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. The door reads “FREIW. FEUERWEHR THAUR.” So either there are some Austrian firefighters that are a long drive from home or someone scored one of the greatest used car purchase of all time. #soloparking #vintage #landrover #fire #firefighting #austria #austrian #brooklyn #ny #nyc #suv #4x4
